Maxim Vengerov is one of the world's greatest violinists. He's won numerous awards including a Grammy and has performed his beloved instrument across the globe. In the first half of the concert he takes to the stage as a soloist - performing Bruch's Violin Concerto - and in the second half of the concert he returns to the stage to conduct the Würth Philharmonic Orchestra as they perform Symphony No 10 by Shostakovich together. Conductor Stamatia Karampini also conducts Overture: Die Fledermaus by Strauss and Introduction and Capriccioso by Saint-Saëns.
As a soloist and conductor, this is a rare chance to experience the full, magnificent range of Vengerov's artistry.
Saturday 9 June, 7.30pm at Leeds Town Hall.
