Simon Lindley Educated at Magdalen College School, Oxford and at the Royal College of Music, Simon’s early career was centred upon music-making in London and St Albans. Dr Lindley is active in many spheres of Yorkshire’s musical life and well-known for work with choirs and bands additional to organ playing as soloist, accompanist and orchestral organist. He served for over forty years as Master of Music at Leeds Minster and as City Organist being named as Organist Emeritus by church and city in September 2016 and August 2017 respectively. Last year he celebrated forty years of service with St Peter’s Singers of Leeds and twenty with Halifax-based Overgate Hospice Choir.
