Thought Bubble Festival 2018

Thought Bubble Festival 2018

Saturday 22 - Sunday 23 September
Victoria Gardens

Thought Bubble formed in 2007 as a non-profit-making organisation dedicated to promoting comics and graphic novels as an important national and international cultural art-form. Now in its twelfth year, the festival takes place over a full week, with a jam-packed programme of events at a variety of venues across Leeds City Centre.

2018’s festival programme will run from Monday 17 - Sunday 23 September (with selected satellite and fringe events before and after these dates), and will include free art and writing workshops for young people and adults, a two-day academic conference, and talks and masterclasses led by industry professionals.

A huge two-day comic con will take place on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 September. There will be an incredible line-up of leading artists and writers, and over 400 tables showcasing the best in comic art, with creator appearances, publisher presence, and retailers. The weekend will also feature portfolio viewings and competitions, as well as a huge cosplay parade.

This promises to be one of the best events of its kind in the UK, celebrating comics in style!
