“The UK’s most dynamic youth orchestra” is joined by violinist Esther Abrami for a concert celebrating innovation, youth music and Yorkshire.
Described as a ‘rising star’ by the Strings Magazine, Esther has performed in world renowned venues such as Carnegie Hall in New-York, the Royal Festival Hall and the Barbican Centre in London. Redefining the way classical music is seen on social media, Esther’s recent video on Classic FM’s Facebook received a staggering 5.5 million views.
Esther will be performing Lalo’s exnihilating Symphonie Espagnole with YYS. Having come to national attention in 2015 in the BBC Radio 4 documentary “Birth of an Orchestra” with Alan Bennet, YYS continues to regularly make the headlines on Classic FM, BBC Radio 3 and in Classical Music Magazine with their animated and thrilling performances.
After becoming the first youth orchestra in the world to become 100% digital, YYS have permanently swapped their sheet music for iPads.
Audience members also have the chance to use the EnCue app on their phones during the concert. The app delivers media to viewers in real time, creating a unique opportunity for viewers to receive helpful information at the exact moment it is needed during live events.
