Temple Newsam Home Farm | Halloween Horrors and Beastly Bugs

Sat 24 October - Sun 1 November
Temple Newsam - Home Farm

Beastly bugs have crept down from Temple Newsam House to take over Home Farm. Explore Home Farm to spot the creepy creatures as well as our regular friendly farmyard favourites and our not so regular creepy characters. Pick up a craft and colour sheet as you go.

Wander through the historic cobbled yards and outbuildings and find out what life was like at Home Farm at Temple Newsam.

Come along and get up close to your favourite farmyard friends including piglets, geese, guinea pigs and loads more!

Home Farm is a working farm and one of the largest rare breed centres in Europe. This means that even though Home Farm is a fun place to visit there is also a serious side to our work.

All animals at Home Farm are native to the UK and most are classed as Rare Breeds by the Rare Breed Survival Trust. As a rare breeds centre we help to ensure the continuation of some of the oldest breeds of farm animals in the country, and provide a living legacy people can enjoy now and in the future.

During your visit you will run into all sorts of farm animals that you are unlikely to see anywhere else, including a wide variety of rare breed poultry. A full list of our rare breeds is available in our Rare Breeds at Home Farm.

**Pre-booking is strongly advised to avoid disappointment.  A small number of tickets may be available from the Stable Courtyard Gift Shop on the day.**

**You are required to wear a face covering when visiting Temple Newsam House, gift shop, indoor areas of Home Farm and when using the café, and take away service,  unless you are exempt from doing so.** In line with Government Guidance we recommend that you wear a face mask in any enclosed area where social distancing is difficult, including the public toilets.

Please note that some areas of Home Farm remain closed.  We are working on how to open all areas safely, please keep checking back for updates.
