Pohjola’s Daughter is a fairy tale about a Finnish demigod who tries to win the heart of the beautiful daughter of the North. Sadly, he fails to pass all the trials she sets him, so reluctantly leaves her to be on her rainbow.

Beethoven’s Violin Concerto and Romance No 2 are much-loved gems of violin repertoire.

Sibelius’ seventh, and final symphony, first performed in 1924, when it was called Symphonic Fantasy is widely regarded as one of the most ambitious and extraordinary symphonies in the repertoire.
