Coronavirus update:

Due to current restrictions in light of rising infection rates and in order to protect the safety of artists and staff we are now unable to livestream Monday and Wednesday lunchtime concerts from Leeds Town Hall as previously advertised. Lunchtime audio streams are cancelled until 22 Feb at the earliest. We will review the situation regularly and ask that you check our  websites and social media for further updates. This exhibition takes place in the Brodrick Room.

Part of the 50th anniversary celebrations of the civic partnership between the cities of Leeds and Dortmund, Germany, the exhibition of 50 images shows images produced by students from Leeds City College and the UZWEI in Dortmund, reflecting the true identity of both cities.

Also on display alongside this exhibition in the Brodrick Room is a tapestry style artwork which has been produced by visual artist Louise Atkinson in collaboration with Dr Claudia Sternberg as part of a project by the University of Leeds focusing on German nationals living in Leeds. The content of this digital fabric print has been supplied by and developed in conversation with German nationals and their descendants living in Yorkshire about their experiences and memories.

Please note: Leeds Town Hall hosts civic celebrations and ticketed and private events. As such, access to the building may be restricted during stated opening hours. Please contact 0113 378 6016 before visiting to ensure there are no restrictions at the time you plan to visit.
