British violinist Noel Vine studied with Frederick Grinke, Manoug Parikian, Beth Spendlove and Glyndwr Parfitt. He has performed with many of the UK’s leading symphony orchestras, chamber ensembles and session orchestras including the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, City of London Sinfonia, Manchester Camerata, London Concert Orchestra, Orchestra of St Johns Smith Square, London Soloists Chamber Orchestra, Musical Solutions Ltd, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, Sinfonia Of London, London Session Orchestra.

Noel is leader of City Strings Orchestra and the Universal Film Orchestra and has been guest leader for Millennia Ensemble, London Concert Ensemble, and the Academy of St Thomas.

A prolific session musician, his recording credits are vast, from major film and TV soundtracks, to pop, rock and dance records and has worked with a diverse array of high profile artists such as Madonna, Goldie, Spice Girls, Take That, Morcheeba, David Gray, Oasis, Paul Weller, Gabrielle, Brand New Heavies and many more. In 2018 Noel began a new recital concert series #ClassicalChill bringing short, tailored concerts to a new audience.

Classical Chill concerts provide a perfect soundtrack to ‘take time out from busy lives’ and stop for a moment, accompanied by cool abstract mood lighting and projections to enhance the experience. Classical Chill programmes include works from Bach, Vaughan Williams, Grieg and more, plus new contemporary works from Nicolas Britell, Arvo Part, Nico Muhly and Max Richter.

A musician who refuses to be defined by a single genre, Noel has a wide-ranging musical background from Trip Hop collaborations with Dave Tipper (The Critical Path) to Drum and Bass mixes with Goldie with further string fusion projects with Pressure Drop, Mo Wax, Asian Dub Foundation and Way Out West. He is an advocate of contemporary and experimental music and equally at home with the core classical repertoire as well as enjoying fresh new improvised works, most recently a special #ClassicalChill outdoor concert at Leiston Abbey in Suffolk containing a 45 minute totally improvised soundscape.

Recently collaborating with concert pianist Andrew Quartermain, they created the album Classical Chill VOL 1. 9 tracks, totally improvised and recorded in one take.

Andrew Quartermain is CEO and Artistic Director of Pro Corda Trust, one of the largest music charities and course providers in Europe.  Pro Corda is the leading provider for chamber music education in UK and, since 2006, Andrew has overseen an expansion that has quadrupled the organisation’s size and introduced a number of new nationally leading education programmes, together with the fundraising for them – including Pro Corda’s flagship series for children with disabilities which he founded (now the leading provider of its kind for Special Educational Needs schools in UK.)

As a pianist, Andrew has collaborated with some of the world’s leading artists and was a prize winner at the Guildhall where he studied after Cambridge.

His work as a teacher takes in a rare spectrum of areas and focus that stretches from coaching some of the UK’s most gifted instrumentalists to specialist work for children with autism (where Andrew has written and launched a number of innovative education programmes and publications) through to an international Piano Film series for Adult Learners.

Andrew has composed a number of works, including music theatre and a new version of “Scrooge!” for schools. He regularly appears on a wide variety of media from TV to radio, and is a regular contributor to BBC Children in Need, and adjudicates at Festivals and competitions throughout the country.
