In November 2021 Leeds Town Hall will close for two years to enable major refurbishment works in the venue. The multimillion-pound project will vastly improve public access with a new lift, a brand new 270-seater performance space, enhanced meeting rooms, new bar/café area, better facilities and circulation areas giving visitors and customers a much improved experience.
The closure of the building will also give us a one in a lifetime opportunity to renew the magnificent pipe organ – one of the finest and largest instruments of its kind in Europe. The renewal of the organ is long overdue and without urgent attention this incredible instrument will fall further into disrepair.
